I have always had a passion for health & wellbeing. When I first became a serious "gym-goer" around 2010, this was very much around following the latest diet trend, joining a fitness transformation programme or having a Personal Trainer. From this, I learnt the basics in nutritional eating and how to lose weight and tone up.
What no-one ever taught me was the difference between being HEALTHY and being SKINNY. Fast-forward to 2019, I was running 30 miles a week and was the slimmest I have ever been; however my body was showing signs of Chronic Stress and burnout. I was exercising 6-8 times per week, watching what I ate and working full-time in a highly demanding career.
The result? A yo-yo effect in my weight, digestive complaints, female hormone imbalances, fatigue, sleep difficulties, blood sugar imbalances and brain fog.
Fortunately my interest in Naturopathy and returning to a way of life closer to our ancestors allowed me to tune into my body and listen to what it needed, and that was to rest. I quickly learnt that everything I had been taught enabled me to look healthy on the OUTSIDE but inside my body wasn't well at all.
Through research, dedication and time I was able to banish all of my symptoms, reduce my stress-load on my body and achieve TRUE optimal health for my mind and body. This has meant training less, changing my view on food, and listening to my body with everything I do.
The result? I feel connected. My mind and body as one. I still love to be active, especially amongst nature hiking in the mountains. I know what and how to eat for ME. I can manage my stress-load and recognise how different stressors affect my body.
Prior to qualifying as a Health Coach, I have spent over 10 years working within both Social Care and the NHS and am a qualified Social Worker. I pride myself in non-judgemental, relationship-based practice. I love to empower others to bring about sustainable change in their lives. I have walked alongside some amazing clients over the years; watching them grow and achieve their goals has been breath-taking.
Alongside my day job, I have helped improve the health of family, friends and colleagues. From reversing diabetes, to losing weight, to overcoming fertility issues - the common factor in all their stories has been the impact of stress. This ultimately led to qualifying as a Health Coach & forming Rebalance.

Seeing the positive difference I could make to other's health, alongside overcoming my own health challenges, led to the birth of Rebalance Health Coaching. I have seen and experienced first-hand the impact stress has on everyone in society, from the clients I have worked with in the NHS/Social Care, to burnt-out colleagues, loved ones, and myself. Human beings are an incredible species who have evolved and adapted over the past 10,000 years since the introduction of farming. However this has come at a price; our western, urban lifestyle has pulled us away from our roots with nature.
We work long hours, often sitting at a desk;
We are inactive and sedentary;
We sleep too little, and eat too much;
Our food has become overly processed and under nourished;
We are experiencing long periods of Chronic Stress.
Despite our bodies showing signs of not coping under our new way of life, the symptoms have been normalised by society and are not treatable by our local doctor. This has led a diet culture that promises quick aesthetic results, without addressing underlining imbalances. My health mission is to reverse this trend, to help others to live a healthy lifestyle alongside our modern way of life. I want to empower you, educate you and energise you to achieve your health and wellbeing goals alongside a busy lifestyle.
Whilst Health Coaching is at the heart of Rebalance, we work closely with other health professionals to ensure your holistic health needs are taken care of.
